Two Profiles of New Egypt PM Sharaf

Al-Masry al-Youm has a profile of the new Egyptian PM, Essam Sharaf. It's, well, rather gushing. The state-run but recently unpredictable Al-Ahram Online has another. Both in English. I know little about the man, but his Cabinet service was back in 2004-5 and he joined the demonstrators during the revolution. And he has two advanced degrees from Purdue, so the US ought to be okay. Of course in Egypt the Prime Minister is a technocrat/bureaucrat, not a major policymaker. The situation is evolving but in many ways it seems more encouraging than a couple of days ago.
